A-1 Environmental is a service and response provider, including but not limited to, industrial cleaning, environmental emergency services, soil and groundwater remediation and hazardous waste management. We are looking for a skilled, educated, responsible and reliable candidate to provide customer service and support for our organization. Other task may included Shell Tanker and Dump Trailer.

- Valid AZ Driver's License with a suitable drivers abstract (experience driving standard transmission – up to 18 speed is required)
- Previous experience operating Vacuum Trucks an asset (training is availablefor right candidate)
- Previous environmental or related experience is an asset
- Strong communication skills in English. (verbal and written)
- Reliable means of personal transportation
- Professional and trustworthy, with a customer focus to his/her work
- Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid Certification in First Aid/CPR (will train)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Vacuum Truck services in support of daily operations
- Communicate daily with dispatch
- Follow safe driving practices
- Abide by all provincial and federal traffic laws
- Report any violations immediately
- Report any faults immediately to Supervisor
- Follow MTO/TDG/MOE or applicable provincia and federal regulations with regards to the disposal of goods Responsible for fueling of truck before and end of each day
- Complete daily paperwork including work orders, BOLs, manifests, logs, hazard assessments, etc. and hand in on a daily basis
- Wear required PPE at all times including, hard hat, safety glasses, steel toed boots, coveralls, etc.
- Carry valid safety tickets at all times
- Working with others and be able to give clear instructions to Technicians
- Participating in job specific and Health & Safety training, as required
- Operating his/her position in an efficient and safe manner
- Completing work related documentation and reporting
- Follow all established organizational policies and procedures
- Support the vision and values of the organization
- Promote and participate in a work environment free of workplace harassment and violence
- Perform work in a safe manner, so as not to endanger oneself or others
- Reporting workplace hazards, accidents or other occurrences that may pose a risk to the organization or the safety of oneself or others
- Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workplace Safety & Insurance Board Act, Ontario Human Rights Code and Employment Standards Act
- Participate in team meetings, when required
- Work in a manner that preserves confidentiality and minimizes risks
- Perform other duties
- Driving to location, possibly long drives
- Climbing of ladders, stairs and catwalks to access tanks
- Loading/unloading of hoses and moving hoses while performing daily operations
- Heavy lifting of hoses, and other equipment WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Exposure to fumes, gases or airborne particles
- Exposure to various fluids and chemicals
- Various locations in a day
