Overview
Revelstoke Ski Club is seeking passionate and dedicated Alpine Ski Coaches to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with enthusiastic skiers of various skill levels, fostering their development on the slopes while promoting safety and enjoyment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching, excellent communication skills, and a love for winter sports. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to make a positive impact in our vibrant skiing community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ski lessons for participants of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment
- Develop tailored coaching plans that promote skill improvement and confidence on the slopes
- Monitor and evaluate skier progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all participants adhere to club guidelines
- Assist with organizing training sessions, competitions, and special events as needed
- Maintain equipment and ensure all coaching areas are clean, organized, and safe for use
- Foster a positive team environment by collaborating with other coaches and staff members
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or coaching, preferably in alpine skiing or related sports
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and instruct diverse groups of learners
- Certifications from Alpine Canada or the CSIA
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to skiing activities
- Passion for winter sports and commitment to promoting a fun, inclusive atmosphere for all participants
