Grades 3–8 Bible and Trades/CTS/Options Teacher (0.8 FTE
to Full-Time)
Yellowhead Christian School, Edson, Alberta
Yellowhead Christian School (YCS) is seeking a passionate
and dedicated Christian educator or ministry-minded trades professional to join
our growing team for the 2026–2027 school year. This position includes teaching
Grades 3–8 Bible as well as Jr/Sr high school Trades/CTS/Options programming.
The position may range from 0.8 FTE to full-time depending on the successful
candidate’s strengths, experience, certifications, and willingness to teach
additional middle school subjects.

teachers with Bible training and a passion for Christian education

or ministry leaders with journeyman certification or trades experience
- Individuals
who are passionate about mentoring students academically, spiritually, and
practically

His will for them. We are located in Edson, Alberta, 200 km west of Edmonton
and just an hour from the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Our community is

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan,
prepare, and deliver engaging Bible and CTS/Options instruction for
students in Grades 3–8
- Develop
hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, practical skills,
and student engagement
- Integrate
Biblical worldview and Christian values into classroom teaching and
student relationships
- Assess
and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and support
- Create
a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages
participation and a love of learning
- Collaborate
with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community to support
student success
- Participate
in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, chapels, and
school events
- Maintain
accurate records and complete required administrative tasks promptly
Qualifications:
- Bachelor
of Education degree and Alberta teaching certification preferred
- Other
equivalent experience and qualifications will be considered for the right
candidate
- Bible
training, ministry experience, or pastoral experience considered an asset
- Journeyman
certification, trades experience, or CTS background considered an asset
- Passion
for Christian education and mentoring students spiritually and
academically
- Commitment
to the mission and vision of YCS
- Strong
interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency
in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Applicants
must be Canadian citizens or currently eligible to work in Canada
