Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Recruiter to support and manage recruitment operations in Alberta. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in building strong candidate pipelines across a variety of roles. This individual will develop sourcing strategies, pre-screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and help ensure an efficient and positive recruitment process from start to finish.
Note: This position requires in-office work with occasional flexibility to work remotely. The ideal candidate might be located either in Edmonton or Calgary, but preference will be given to applicants from Edmonton or willing to relocate to Edmonton.
Job Duties
- Perform full life cycle recruitment process
- Identify innovative resources to source candidates and build a pipeline that includes: recruitment tools such as job boards, creative online searches, internal job postings, employee referral program, and reaching out to passive candidates; use creative techniques to source hard-to-find skill sets
- Partner with the General manager on recruiting strategy for defined positions
- Pre-screening of candidates, scheduling interviews for hiring managers, participating in interview process, conducting post interview de-briefs, etc.
- Provide consistent communication to stakeholders on status of requisition and candidates, hiring status of candidates in progress, and to present pre-screened resumes
- Ensure a positive candidate experience from initial screening to final response including ensuring that all candidates get a response within an appropriate period of time
- Assist in streamlining the recruiting workflow design and develop recommendations on the full life cycle recruiting process
- Lead the full cycle recruitment process including job posting, candidate sourcing, resume screening, phone interviewing, scheduling, and communicating with the selected candidate through the offer process
- Proactive recruiting to build talent pipeline for future opportunities
- Follow established processes designed to ensure candidate experiences throughout the recruitment process meet a high standard level of communication, courtesy and follow up
- Source and develop market specific partnerships with various schools, colleges, and associations as a feeder of future talent pipeline talent
- Other duties and special projects as assigned by Management
Qualifications:
- Previous recruiting/administrative experience
- Experience recruiting in a transportation environment is an asset
- University Degree or Advanced College Diploma in Human Resources or Human Resources Management is an asset
- Strong ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, skill-based, stress, etc.);
- Excellent consultative skills with a solid understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes and best practices
- Ability to build strong relationships, understand recruiting principles and possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and plan for current and future client needs
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Ability to work flex hours
- Fluent in English
- Access to a vehicle on a daily basis is a must
