Our Reservations Supervisor will help oversee the day-to-day workload of our Reservations Team. The Reservation Supervisor will assist in training and development and help to motivate the Reservations teams in order to deliver excellent service and meet target goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to reservations inquiries on the phone and by email.
- Oversee the reservation departments workload during shifts to ensure work is evenly distributed and efficiently completed.
- Ensure the reservation departments day is organized so phone calls and incoming reservation requests are managed in an efficient, revenue-oriented manner; that daily tasks are completed in a timely manner; that reservations are addressed promptly; and that everyone works nicely together to make work fun.
- Work with reservations managers to lead reservations and sales training program, upkeep of training manuals and resources, including endorsement of the Signature Sales system.
- Contribute to the creation and success of employee incentives and reward systems while ensuring a fair, fun and productive work environment.
- Resolve problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously for guests and/or Front Desk staff.
- Foster strong relationships with Front Office Managers and Front Desk Teams to ensure consistent and ongoing communication occurs, contributing to the delivery of the best possible guest experiences at our hotel properties.
- Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times and that all colleagues are committed to working safely.
- Additional duties may be assigned to help meet guest needs.
Skills and Experience:
- Self-motivator with outgoing personality and commitment to providing a high level of guest service.
- Ability to motivate and lead employees in a busy, fast-pace and high-quality environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Prior experience in a customer focused role is an asset.
- Experience using a hospitality property management system is an asset.
- A positive team player attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
