Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and heavy equipment across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with experience in freight handling and heavy equipment operation. Responsibilities
- Safely operate DZ licensed trucks for the transportation of freight and heavy equipment.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring secure handling.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain vehicle functionality.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and compliance with all safety standards.
- Assist with warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and inventory management.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure timely and safe deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Experience
- Valid DZ license with a clean driving record
- DZ license must be valid for a minimum of 3 years prior
- Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
- Familiarity with forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, and basic automotive repair is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment and freight handling.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance requirements. This role is essential for maintaining efficient logistics operations while prioritizing safety and professionalism across all tasks performed by the DZ Truck Driver.
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
