Our client, a legacy, advanced manufacturer, is seeking a reliable, hands-on Industrial Mechanic – Millwright to join its Oshawa, ON team. This is a rotating days & afternoons opportunity. There will also be a shift premium for the afternoon shift.
The Job:
- Maintain & repair all machinery and equipment within the facility
- Consult with Production and Facility Managers in developing & implementing comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program
- Supervise and mentor two seasoned maintenance teams
- Responsible for all building repairs
- Go above & beyond to ensure production stays online
- Troubleshoot machinery and equipment, repair/replace broken or malfunctioning components
- Perform equipment/machine tests, calibrate and adjust for optimal performance
- Install, repair, clean and lubricate equipment or machinery
- Adjust equipment and reset or calibrate sensors and controls
- Be on-call for after-hours breakdowns and emergency repair
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Millwright Certificate of Qualification (433A) is essential
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Ability to meet all physical demands of the job, including, but not limited to, heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time, working in hot and cold environments, rotating shifts
- Proven track record in troubleshooting, making maintenance recommendations, adhering to Preventative Maintenance program
