Position Overview
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and hands-on Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to oversee inventory management, shipping and receiving, warehouse organization, and materials coordination within an established telecommunications company.
The ideal candidate takes initiative, enjoys improving systems, and can manage priorities independently. This role requires someone who is comfortable working hands-on while also maintaining accurate records, coordinating with other departments, and developing practical processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory management, organization, and accuracy.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving, including deliveries, courier packages, outgoing shipments, and returns.
- Organize and maintain warehouse, shop, and storage areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Coordinate materials and equipment for upcoming projects and field work.
- Support purchasing, ordering, and inventory replenishment.
- Develop effective processes for receiving, issuing, returning, and tracking materials and equipment.
- Track tools, equipment, and assets.
- Work with other departments to coordinate material and equipment requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, organization, and efficiency.
- Establish practical procedures and help ensure they are consistently followed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in inventory, warehousing, logistics, shipping and receiving, or a related role.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow projects through to completion.
- Experience with inventory management or similar software.
- Experience with Point of Rental software is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is an asset.
- Experience in telecommunications, construction, utilities, equipment rental, or a similar environment is an asset.
- Relevant post-secondary education and workplace certifications are considered assets but are not required.
