Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence:
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Provide clear and accurate information about currency exchange rates, services, and fees.
- Answer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person promptly and efficiently.
Transaction Management:
- Process foreign currency exchanges accurately using company systems.
- Verify and authenticate currency to prevent fraudulent transactions.
- Handle cash, checks, and electronic payments securely and responsibly.
Compliance & Accuracy:
- Adhere to all anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance regulations.
- Maintain meticulous records of transactions and customer information as required.
- Ensure proper identification and documentation for high-value transactions.
Problem-Solving:
- Address customer complaints or discrepancies with a solution-oriented approach.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Branch Manager as needed.
Operational Support:
- Reconcile daily cash balances and ensure accuracy.
- Assist in replenishing currency stock and reporting shortages.
- Contribute to the upkeep and organization of the branch environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience in retail, banking, or currency exchange is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in using computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Basic math skills and the ability to calculate exchange rates quickly.
- Understanding of foreign currencies and exchange processes (training provided).
Education:
- Diploma or Degree in any form of Business (preferred - this position is a stepping stone to growth within the company)
- Master's of Business Administration (preferred - this position is a stepping stone to growth within the company)
Experience:
- Customer service: 2-3 years (required)
- POS: 1 year (required)
- Retail, banking, currency exchange: 1 year (preferred)
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
