We’re looking for full-time RECE Relief Educators within our Licensed Preschool division, for the 2026-2027 school year. Reporting to the Preschool Director and working collaboratively with all members of the Preschool team, the RECE Relief Educators ensure a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment for children aged 18 months to 4 years while covering scheduled breaks, supporting transitions, and assisting in the Extended Care programme.

What You’ll Be Doing:
· Promoting a caring, safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
· Maintaining and following routines as established by Classroom Educators
· Assisting in classroom coverage to ensure that ratios are maintained at all times
· Providing positive guidance to children and speaking to them in a manner in which they understand
· Creating an environment that is dynamic, and supportive of a variety of learning profiles
· Maintaining clear and professional communication between colleagues, students and families
· Supervising free play, both inside and outdoors
· Serving snacks and lunch
· Cleaning and sanitizing childcare spaces
· Adhering to and respecting all CCEYA policies and procedures, Toronto Public Health Mandates, Bayview Glen policies and other relevant guiding practices for licensed childcare programmes
What You’ll Need:
· Registered Early Childhood Educator (R.E.C.E.) in good standing
· Post secondary education in Early Childhood Development or equivalent
· One to two years of experience working with children at the Preschool level
· Well versed in How Does Learning Happen Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years and Early Learning for Every Child Today
· Strong knowledge of all CCEYA policies and procedures, Toronto Public Health Mandates and other relevant guiding practices for licensed childcare programmes
· Ability to work independently with assigned tasks and collaboratively with classroom educators and other staff members
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, engaging and welcoming demeanor
· Initiative, creativity, problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to different environments
· Knowledge of Reggio Inspired Pedagogy is an asset
· Ability to lift up to 20 kg (44 lbs), bend, and work on the floor or at children’s level
· Valid child and infant First Aid/CPR certification
· Up to date Immunizations and new TB results
