An established commercial specialty contractor in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking a Project Manager to support larger commercial projects with a strong emphasis on coordination, documentation, execution, and long-term operational growth.
This position is suited to someone with experience in glazing, architectural aluminum, façade systems, or related specialty construction who wants to continue expanding technical and project leadership responsibility over time.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from turnover through closeout
- Coordinate shop drawings, submittals, approvals, and revisions
- Manage RFIs, consultant coordination, and document control
- Coordinate procurement and release schedules
- Monitor project schedules and identify risks early
- Support change orders, billing, and project forecasting
- Coordinate internally with estimating, drafting, fabrication, field operations, and management
- Maintain communication with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams
Project Types May Include:
- Curtain wall (stick, preglazed, unitized, captured, SSG)
- Storefront and architectural aluminum systems
- Commercial aluminum entrances and related hardware
- Interior glazing systems
- Window wall and punched openings
- Custom glazing assemblies
- Skylights
- Glass railings and guard systems
- Miscellaneous architectural metal interfaces
- Renovation and retrofit projects
- Institutional, commercial, mixed-use, and similar construction sectors
Qualifications:
- 5–8+ years of project management, coordination, or operations experience within commercial glazing, façade, building envelope, architectural aluminum, specialty contracting, or related sectors
- Experience coordinating shop drawings and submittals
- Working understanding of procurement sequencing and material releases
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project documentation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with senior technical review and support
- Experience with large or document-intensive projects considered an asset
