Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders to move materials and prepare sites for construction activities
- Assist with paving operations, including laying asphalt or concrete surfaces according to specifications
- Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to perform tasks accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and productivity on site
- Support team members in setting up scaffolding, barricades, and other temporary structures needed for construction activities
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in construction environments with a solid understanding of site operations
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively
- Knowledge of paving techniques and materials is highly desirable
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
- Basic understanding of construction plans, measurements, and site layouts is a plus
