Reporting to the Hardware Engineering Manager, the Database Coordinator is responsible for the accuracy, entry, and control of data in OSI’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database PDXpert®.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enter and control part data in the Company’s PLM
- Create and edit Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the PLM based on Engineering design artifacts
- Collect, consolidate, and process drawings, redlines, and data provided by multiple stakeholders
- Write Change Requests (CR’s) and Change Notices (CN’s) based on stakeholder input
- Track and manage tasking and approval status of CR’s and CN’s
- Track and manage aging tasks in the Company’s PLM
- Participate in Change Control Board (CCB) meetings
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of artifacts that support part creation, BOMs, and change management
- Follow defined configuration management processes
- Develop KPI’s regarding quality of data inputs and task completion
- Recommend improvements to part and data flow processes
KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
- University or College graduate, with technical focus an asset
- 3+ years’ experience in Product/Project Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Manufacturing, Aeronautics, Automotive, Marine, or similar industry
- Ability to obtain NATO Security Clearance
- High level of attention to detail, with an eye for accuracy
- Experience with PLM databases and Document Control
- Experience with Engineering Configuration and Change Management
- Experience with Solidworks PDM or other PDM an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment and respond positively to tight deadlines
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Strong oral and written communication skills
