Position Title: Foreman

Purpose
Provide excellent mining and leadership skills to Lion One Metals and its employees.
Key Accountabilities / Activities
Ensure the drilling plan is understood and followed.
Supervise and lead day-to-day activities and the development of mining operations.
Train/mentor others in hard rock underground mining best practices.
Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to ensure employees are informed of safety and operational issues.
Communicate with surveyors, geologists, engineers, and miners regarding drilling and ore recovery.
Assist with operating equipment when needed.
Work with the maintenance team to ensure machines are serviced and maintained in proper working order.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Mine Manager.

Ability to schedule and prioritise tasks.
Strong understanding and commitment to workplace health and safety.
Previous experience as a foreman in an underground hard rock mine.
Ability to read and understand mining instruction sheets to complete shift reports.
Computer skills: MS Word and MS Excel.
Good understanding of heavy-duty machinery.
Positive, can-do attitude.
Strong team leader.
Physically fit.
Knowledge
Practical understanding of drilling and mining methods.
Sound understanding of equipment operation on a daily basis.
Ability to lead a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
