Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and other machinery essential for large-scale construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site safety, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment efficiently. The Excavator Operator will play a crucial role in excavation, grading, trenching and other foundational tasks necessary for successful project completion.
Duties
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders.
- Perform site excavation, grading, trenching, and according to project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate machinery.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate operations on-site efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing basic repairs when necessary.
- Support additional construction tasks such as site preparation and clean-up as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating excavators and heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred or required depending on job scope.
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of construction processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
