Team members reside in a camp environment and typically work on rotations, depending on the position. About the Opportunity
Wesdome Gold Mines is seeking a skilled Truck and Coach Mechanic to join our maintenance team at the Eagle River Mine. This role is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of heavy-duty mobile equipment including haul trucks, service vehicles, and surface fleet vehicles. The successful candidate will contribute to safe and efficient operations in a dynamic mining environment.
Position Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Job Duties

Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on surface equipment such as haul trucks, service trucks, and utility vehicles

Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and braking systems

Conduct inspections and maintain detailed service records in compliance with safety regulations and mine standards

Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize equipment servicing and minimize downtime

Follow all health and safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement of safety practices

Operate lifting and hoisting equipment as required to perform job duties

Maintain cleanliness and order in the maintenance shop and work areas
Qualifications and Experience

Valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certification or Qualified Apprentice (required)

Minimum 3–5 years of experience maintaining heavy-duty vehicles or mining equipment

Experience in a heavy equipment environment is an asset

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Valid Ontario driver’s license (Class G minimum)

Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental standards Working underground is mandatory.

Mine Common Core Certification is an asset.

Shift / Hours of Work: Dayshift; 12-hour shifts

Schedule / Rotation: 7 days on / 7 days off
