Job Title: Early Childhood Educator / Infant Toddler Educator (ECE/IT)Job Summary
We are seeking a nurturing, attentive, and compassionate Early Childhood Educator/Infant Toddler Educator (ECE/IT) to join our Infant & Toddler program. The ideal candidate will create a safe, responsive, and engaging environment that supports the unique developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
This role focuses on building secure relationships, supporting developmental milestones, and providing individualized care through respectful and responsive interactions. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a genuine passion for working with young children are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support sensory exploration, language development, and early social-emotional growth
- Provide responsive caregiving, including feeding, diapering, toileting, and supporting sleep routines based on each child’s individual needs
- Create a calm, safe, and nurturing environment that promotes secure attachments and emotional well-being
- Observe, document, and assess children’s development, interests, and milestones to guide programming
- Maintain respectful and ongoing communication with families regarding children’s daily routines, development, and well-being
- Ensure the classroom environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent routines and a positive learning environment
- Use technology for documentation, communication, and program planning
- Provide leadership and support as part of a collaborative team environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Early Childhood Educator / Infant Toddler (ECE/IT) certification required
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting
- Strong understanding of child development, particularly ages 0–3
- Knowledge of responsive caregiving and inclusive practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, observation, and time management skills
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and reports
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for communication and record keeping
- Ability to work collaboratively both independently and as part of a team
