Overview
AEGIS Homecare Inc. (formerly Compassion Homecare Services) is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and hardworking Health Care Aide (HCA) to provide in-home support to a female client in Okotoks, Alberta.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the life of another person by providing high-quality, client-centered care in a warm and supportive home environment.
Schedule
- Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide personal care assistance as required.
- Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe home environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks.
- Assist the client with baking and other enjoyable activities.
- Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
- Support the client with daily routines while promoting independence and dignity.
- Assist with occasional pet care as needed.
Qualifications
- Health Care Aide (HCA) Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous home care experience is considered an asset.
- Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow a care plan.
- Reliable transportation is an asset.
Important Information
The client has a small dog, so applicants must be comfortable around dogs and not have any dog allergies.
