Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings and a passion for providing quality patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements Skills & Knowledge:
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, with registration as a Nurse (R.N.) in Ontario, plus significant experience after graduation providing professional nursing services to individuals with mental health challenges, challenging behaviours and/or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of the theories, methods, and techniques of developing nursing treatment and assessment for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and in particular those with a dual diagnosis.
- Computer skills are required in word processing to prepare various reports and memos, etc.
- Judgement in providing professional nursing services to individuals in accordance with the Standards of Nursing Practices of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Other Job Requirements:
- Ability to work day, afternoon and occasional weekend shifts, and work flexible hours where required. 8 and 12-hour shifts, between the hours of 8:00am - 8:00pm. No overnight shifts required.
- A valid Ontario driver’s license and a vehicle
- Being fully vaccinated for covid-19 (minimum 2 doses)
