Job Summary
We are a commercial painting company looking for a skilled and organized Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial operations for 4 days a week in the office.
Key Responsabilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Prepare financial reports for management
- Track expenses, receipts, and vendor documentation
- Assist with year-end preparation for the external accountant
- File government remittances and payments to FMEP (Family Maintenance Enforcement Program)
- Maintain organzed digital and physical financial files
- Support the office team with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years bookkeeping experience (construction or trades industry an asset)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
- Strong understanding of AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Handle confidential information (Security Clearance may be required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Etc)
