Job description
We are immediately looking for an experienced (2 years minimum) Bid Manager to lead preparation and submission of bids and proposals required to grow our sales in municipal water & wastewater infrastructure and industrial/commercial development projects. In this Bid Manager (Engineering and Construction) role, you will be responsible for developing successful bids and proposal in collaboration with the senior management, project managers and sub-consultants and contractors. Once hired, you will be working from our Newmarket Office located at 18075 Leslie Street-Unit 210, Newmarket.
Key Responsibilities
- Bid/Proposal Preparation – prepare municipal and agency proposals for water and facility projects.
- Attending trade events and represent the company in strategic meetings and pursuits.
- Bidding and tendering
- Pipeline and forecasting for the sale of engineering and construction projects.
To succeed in this Bid Manager role, you will need to have a strong network and connection within municipal water and wastewater industry (from contractors, developers to engineers) and private developers. Experience with selling commercial and industrial projects is a major plus.
Key Requirements
- At least 2 years of sales experience in writing proposals for municipal clients and agencies within a reputed engineering firm
- Strong network and connection with different businesses and decision makers within engineering and construction industry (from contractors, developers to engineers)
- Proven track record in consistently achieving targets.
