We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Weed Control & Fertilizer Applicator to join our team. This role involves applying fertilizers, herbicides, and other lawn care products to residential and commercial properties while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining safe operating practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizers, weed control products according to company standards and provincial regulations
- Operate and maintain spray equipment, spreaders, tanks, and application vehicles
- Identify common turf weeds, lawn diseases, and turf health issues
- Measure and mix products accurately and safely
- Maintain accurate application records and service documentation
- Communicate with customers regarding treatments, lawn care recommendations, and scheduling
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and vehicles
- Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and PPE requirements
- Assist with general lawn care and property maintenance duties as needed
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Previous lawn care, landscaping, agriculture, or pesticide application experience is an asset
- Provincial pesticide applicator certification/license is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of turf management and weed identification
- Experience operating sprayers, fertilizer spreaders, or commercial lawn equipment
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong time management and route planning skills
