Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children top implement individualized behavioral plans that promote positive growth and development. This role involves collaborating with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education services. The Behaviour Therapist will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for children through evidence-based interventions and personalized care strategies.
Duties
- Implement, and monitor behavioral intervention plans tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Work directly with children in various settings to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect and analyze data on child progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure effective outcomes.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and medical professionals to coordinate care strategies and provide training or guidance as needed.
- Administer medications under prescribed protocols when necessary, ensuring proper documentation and safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other relevant documentation in compliance with organizational policies.
- Provide patient care that supports emotional well-being, social skills, and daily functioning for children receiving therapy services.
Skills
- Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices to support diverse learning needs.
- Ability to administer medications safely following medical protocols.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pediatric care and behavioral health.
- Excellent data collection skills for tracking progress and adjusting treatment plans effectively.
- Compassionate communication skills to build rapport with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient-centered care.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$33.92 per hour
