SIREG Management is looking for a reliable property Maintenance Technician Grade 2, that can do repair work at our residential sites. We'll rely on you to keep our facilities in good clean condition by doing various jobs assisting our maintenance department in maintaining our tenants' apartment, and the associated grounds.

The Role
- Complete refurbishment of the vacant units
- Observe the highest quality of completion, in preparation of the occupation of new tenants
- Your refurbishment job performance will be complete, accurate and thorough so as to eliminate any additional service requirements or complaints by the new tenants
- Minor electrical repairs, plumbing, drywall, flooring, appliance repair/replacement, security assurance, and all other maintenance duties of the interior or exterior of the unit
- Attend to tenant matters and concerns in a polite, professional manner
- Assist maintenance staff or external contractors in the performance and completion of their duties or tasks
- Report any or all concerns to the Manager of Maintenance and will always conduct yourself in a manner which prioritizes safety concerns first
- Assist, observe, and manage internal or external staff attending to any service requirement of the Birchwood Village Complex
- Perform maintenance tasks within the boundaries of the specified allocated budget
- Be proactive and uphold a high standard of safety
- Perform all maintenance work in a professional manner ensuring cosmetically
- Appealing results in all upgrades, renovations, and repairs
- Ensure that all SIREG Management property, equipment, supplies, and expenditures are appropriately and diligently managed, secured and guarded
- Additional duties may include general grounds keeping, grounds maintenance services, snow removal and clearing, salting/sanding walkways, clearing external stairs of snow, sand external stairs
- Birchwood Village grounds must be inspected on a continual bases as to ensure good repair and safety to ensure good appearance including grass cutting, trimming, fertilizing, aerating, repair of lawns, daily refuse and garbage clean up, signage repair, asphalt repair, line painting, parking receptacle replacement, parking post management, water stop cleared, utility box repaired or replaced
- Raking, collecting, and carting leaves for disposal in fall
- Ensuring that maintenance and casual summer staff perform general maintenance to external buildings, repair fences and signs, parking lot lines, replacing parking lot posts, replacing damaged siding, soffits, and facia
- Replacing or repairing eavestroughs, downspouts, pruning window wells, external painting
- Planting trees and shrubs as required
What We're Looking For
- Valid G Driver's License & Personal Vehicle
- Clean drivers abstract
- Maintenance experience
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems
- Good communication ability
- Well-organized and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- CPIC check required before starting
