Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working closely with other members of the Finance team, the Accounts Payable Accountant should have excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. They will provide support to the finance team by communicating effectively with both vendors and internal staff members.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
This position will have duties that include but not limited to processing payments, reconciling high volume vendor statements, posting journal entries.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Reconciling vendor accounts for 17+ stores and filing.
- AP follow-up with vendors and internal members
- Reconcile share-holder credit card transactions
- Process internal expense reports
- Import AP invoices and post overhead invoices
- Review invoices for proper authorization.
- Input payment transactions and run cheques.
- Correspondence with location management.
- Maintaining the accuracy of vendor payment terms
- Vendor setup
- Depositing cheques
- Assist with other accounting and administrative duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on accounts payable experience.
- Minimum 3 years month-end processing experience.
