Position summary:
BMS Enterprises is hiring a General Manager. The General Manager, reporting directly to the CEO/President, is responsible for the day-to-day execution of office operations, as well as project management of larger initiatives to improve company operations.
This role involves direct management of a 15-25 person team in Brampton, ON, as well as communication and project coordination with our overseas team in Shenzhen, China.
Key Responsibilities:
Team and Performance Management
- Hiring, onboarding, and ongoing performance management of new employees.
- Conducting performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and maintaining high performance standards.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks through oversight of the internal ticketing system, content calendar system, as well as facilitating seamless cross-departmental communication.
- Maintain existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring global compliance across both offices. Proactively seek new opportunities to develop or refine SOPs.
- Facilitate daily syncs with executive leadership, lead weekly multi-departmental office meetings, and host quarterly performance review assemblies.
Project Management (Including Product Development)
- Lead new products through the entire lifecycle from procurement and sourcing to final production.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OEM accounts, working directly with B2B clients to successfully produce and deliver their custom products.
- Build and execute launch strategies spanning branding, sustainable packaging design, and commercial release.
- Research market trends, plan upcoming collections, and create data-backed purchasing forecasts.
- Design, launch, and manage long-term, cross-functional projects designed to optimize company operations and increase short- and long-term revenue.
KPI Maintenance and Reporting
- Manage the sales team, operationalizing aggressive growth strategies while ensuring overseeing commercial pipeline KPIs.
- Develop high-impact pitch decks and lead face-to-face meetings with key commercial accounts.
- Monitor performance KPIs, including but not limited to: marketing campaign results, sales reports, financial statements, productivity reports, inventory, and e-commerce marketplace performance.
- Monitor vendor and service provider performance to ensure services rendered are consistent with the company’s needs.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Management or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of direct people and operations management experience required.
- Strong background in consumer goods marketing required.
- Strong background in product development, preferably in consumer goods, required.
- Strong background in procurement, contract management, and supply chain/logistics workflows required.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP Business One, preferred.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite preferred.
- Hands-on experience with project management platforms such as Notion preferred.
- French language proficiency considered an asset.
- Mandarin Chinese language proficiency considered an asset.
