We have an exciting opportunity for a leader to manage the newly created Business Planning & Regulatory Support team,
ensuring Environment’s business processes, planning, regulatory support, and reporting functions are efficient, compliant,
integrated, and well supported.
Reporting to the Director of Environment, the Manager, Business Planning & Regulatory Support provides leadership and
overall direction for policy and strategy development, business planning, program implementation support, regulatory
compliance, and related performance reporting. This role manages the Project Management Office, Asset Management,
Regulatory Permitting, and Strategy & Framework functions within Environment.
- Lead the Business Planning & Regulatory Support team, providing strategic direction, people leadership, and
accountability for business planning, governance, regulatory compliance, performance reporting, and program
implementation.
- Oversee the Project Management Office (PMO), Asset Management, Regulatory Permitting, and Strategy & Framework
functions within Environment.
- Develop and implement business cases, change plans, governance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
that strengthen operational efficiency, compliance, and long-term program sustainability.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and delivery partners to resolve
complex business challenges and advance organizational improvements.
- Establish integrated performance monitoring, compliance tracking, and reporting processes that support transparency,
accountability, risk management, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare strategic reports, recommendations, briefing materials, and presentations to support executive and senior
leadership decision-making.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to multidisciplinary teams, particularly during periods of organizational change,
transformation, and evolving regulatory or business requirements.
- Align environmental strategies, business plans, and governance initiatives with broader corporate objectives and priorities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with regulators, government agencies, and key stakeholders to advance
regulatory and environmental objectives.
- Provide strategic oversight of environmental permitting, regulatory approvals, compliance obligations, and related risks for
major infrastructure projects and physical works.
- Lead environmental asset management and PMO functions, including long-term planning, capital and operational
investment strategies, financial stewardship, contract delivery, and performance management.
