We are looking for Welders for shop fabrication and to support projects across western Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Layout, fitting and welding/installation of custom fabricated steel, carbon and stainless steel
- Study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the type of pipe and tools to use
- Measure, cut and prepare metal joints for welding
- Spark watch, grinding and buffing
- Install supports, walkways and platforms as per specifications
- Follow Boom procedures and guidelines
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
Requirements
- Candidates will be required to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for Work test upon hiring.
- Previous experience as a Welder’s helper or registered Welder apprentice
- Able to manage heavy materials, stand for extended periods and have the physical strength and stamina for proper lifting techniques
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Valid Driver’s Licence Class 5 or higher, clean abstract
- Valid Safety courses – First Aid, H2S, CSTS-09, Aerial Work Platform & Fall Arrest
