Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in need of support within their homes or care facilities. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Medication reminders following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Support clients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy environment
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Assist with activities that promote independence and well-being, including recreational activities and exercises
- Follow care plans accurately and document care provided in compliance with agency policies
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those experiencing dementia is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is an asset
- Background in caregiving, home health support, or personal assistance roles is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
- Ability to perform caregiving tasks safely while maintaining client dignity and respect
