Our client, a well-established Vancouver law firm, is seeking an experienced Securities Legal Administrative Assistant / Hybrid LAA to join its corporate and securities practice group.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with lawyers on a broad range of securities and corporate transactions involving reporting issuers, public company matters, continuous disclosure obligations, and regulatory filings. The ideal candidate will have prior securities experience within a law firm environment and enjoy working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented practice.

Support lawyers with a variety of securities and corporate transactions, including private placements, public offerings, name changes, share consolidations, and takeover or issuer bid matters.

Prepare, complete and manage securities filings and related matters, including electronic filings made through the following systems:

SEDAR+
-
SEDI
-
BCSC eServices
-
OSC’s Electronic Filing Portal

TMX LINX
-
Canadian Securities Exchange
-
CDS – CUSIP/ISIN Applications, eligibility requests, and Unqualified Letters of Confirmation

Prepare, complete and manage other securities filing with respect to:

Reports of Exempt Distribution (e.g., Form 45-106F1)

Exemptive relief applications
-
TSX/TSXV filings
-
Assist with continuous disclosure obligations and ongoing reporting requirements for public companies.

Coordinate and manage filing deadlines, regulatory requirements, and filing fee administration.

Prepare corporate documentation including incorporations, amalgamations, continuations, dissolutions, resolutions, and related records.

Liaise with clients, transfer agents, regulators, and external stakeholders regarding securities and corporate matters.

Conduct securities-related research and assist with maintaining precedents, checklists, and internal resources.

Support transaction closings and assist with the preparation of electronic closing books and related documentation.

Provide administrative and practice support to the securities group as required.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, Hybrid LAA, or similar legal support professional within a securities or corporate practice.

Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal program.

Strong knowledge of securities filings, regulatory requirements, and corporate transactional processes.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
