About the role
We are looking for a skilled Setup Technician / Shift Supervisor to lead day-to-day production operations on the floor. You will be responsible for machine setups, process optimization, insert changes, and supervising the shift team to meet quality and output targets.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and start injection moulding machines at the start of each run
- Perform mould and insert changes safely and efficiently
- Monitor and adjust process parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time) to maintain part quality
- Supervise and guide operators during the shift
- Troubleshoot processing issues and implement corrective actions
- Work with engineering resins (nylon, ABS, PC, PP, and similar materials)
- Maintain accurate shift logs and production records
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on injection moulding experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of plastic processing and engineering resins
- Experience with mould insert changes and machine setups
- Ability to read and interpret process sheets and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable team player with leadership capability
Education
- High school diploma required
- College diploma or technical certificate in plastics, manufacturing, or a related field is an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.20-$26.92 per hour
