Job Description:
As a Senior Fire Protection Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our clients and their properties. Your expertise and knowledge will be instrumental in conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various fire protection systems, including fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers. Key responsibilities include:
- System Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of fire protection systems in accordance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the reliability and functionality of fire protection equipment.
- System Testing: Conduct tests and ensure the proper functioning of fire alarm systems, sprinklers, and emergency lighting.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all service activities and compliance reports.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing their fire safety needs.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to junior technicians, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation, being available for emergencies during assigned weeks.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in the fire protection industry, with a proven track record of working on various fire protection systems.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as ASTTBC Registered Fire Protection Technician and Backflow Prevention Certification, are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and support junior technicians.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Safety Focus: A strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
