Det’on Cho Northbest Distributors promotes a positive and supportive workplace focused on growth, teamwork and the care for our employees and are seeking a temporary full-time Warehouse/Delivery Driver.
What You Will Do
Under the supervision and direction of the General Manager, the Warehouse/Delivery Driver is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate inventory management, and high service standards. The role is a safety sensitive position and will be required to be compliant with all safety and company policies. This role is also customer focused, to maintain positive relationships. Northbest operates seven (7) days a week, with shifts that may fall on any day of the week at eight (8) hours a day for a forty (40) hour work week.
A Day In The Life

Provide day-to-day operational support to warehouse management.

Ensure accurate documentation and system updates for inventory and operations

Oversee and assist customers with warehouse inquiries, product questions, returns, or special orders.

Resolve or escalate customer concerns in a professional manner.

Maintain confidentiality of company information.

Ensure compliance with company policies and warehouse safety standards.

Oversee receiving operations and ensure accuracy of shipments

Oversee inventory control, including counts, adjustments, and accuracy

Act as liaison between warehouse, retail, and management teams

Prepare daily communication logs, schedules, and operational updates.

Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory

Ensure damaged or defective goods are identified, documented, and addressed

Ensure compliance with storage requirements, including temperature-controlled products

Oversee delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient distribution
Job Requirements

Class 1 Drivers License Preferred or Class 5

Clean Drivers Abstract

Physically fit to lift/carry 50 lbs

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods

What You Bring

High school diploma required; post-secondary education in administration is considered an asset.

2–3 years warehouse or logistics experience

Experience in a retail or warehouse environment is considered an asset.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Comfortable using inventory and retail point-of-sale systems.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Comfortable working in an office environment located inside an active warehouse.

Familiarity with Yellowknives Dene language, culture and way of life would be considered assets.
