Journeyman Electrician – Bow River Electric Ltd.

Bow River Electric Ltd. is a family-owned electrical contractor proudly serving Calgary and surrounding areas since 1984. We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team working on a variety of commercial, light industrial, and residential projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Perform conduit installation, wire pulls, terminations, and troubleshooting
- Complete service calls and support small- to medium-sized project crews
- Work independently or collaboratively while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety
- Assist with mentoring and supporting apprentices when needed
- Work occasional overtime or weekends as required
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician ticket in Alberta or Red Seal equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Basic PPE, including steel-toe boots, hard hat, and safety glasses
- Standard electrical hand tools
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively on site
Compensation & Perks
- $40.00/hour
- 10% vacation/holiday paid in addition to hourly wage on regular hours

Assets
- Experience operating aerial platforms or lifts
- Ability to lift materials. work from ladders/lifts
