Reporting to the Deli Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members’ lives, with a strong customer-focused approach.
- Provide legendary service at all touch points though various communication channels.
- Slice, weigh, package, and label meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.
- Prepare deli trays, sandwiches, salads, and hot or cold grab-and-go items.
- Rotate stock, monitor freshness, and remove expired products.
- Assist with inventory counts and daily production records.
- Safely operate deli equipment, including slicers, ovens, fryers, and scales.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas, counters, and equipment.
- Complete daily deli department routines and closing tasks.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Follow and support Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service and meet the following:
- Previous experience in a deli, food service, and/or customer service is an asset.
- Honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work that you do.
- Well-organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Knowledge of Food Safe procedures and practices.
- Able to fulfill physical job requirements, including lifting and loading products, working in cooler temperatures, and standing for entire shift.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
- Possess a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
