Job Summary
The Annapolis Royal Summer Day Camp Counselor is a vital role dedicated to creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children during the summer months. This position involves supervising and guiding children through various activities, fostering their social, emotional, and physical development. Duties
- Supervise and oversee groups of children during daily camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational, educational, and creative activities suitable for children of different ages.
- Provide support as needed to help children develop new skills.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among campers.
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding camper progress or concerns.
- Ensure camp rules and safety procedures are followed consistently.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas before and after use.
- Support the overall organization of camp events and special outings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus.
- Strong skills in tutoring or teaching young children to support their learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Responsible, reliable, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Pay: From $17.84 per hour
