Overview of the Job
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Labourer to join our team. This role involves the installation of shallow utility facilities on underground residential development (URD) projects. If you're looking to start a career in the utility construction industry, this is a great opportunity—with on-the-job training provided. 10 hour Days 5-6 days a week, weather dependent.
Responsibilities
- Install conduit, cables, transformers, and pedestals for all utility services
- Perform general labour and shovel work as required on job sites
- Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Support crew members and follow direction from site supervisors
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Reliable personal vehicle for transportation to and from job sites
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for entry-level candidates
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills
- Basic understanding of safety procedures on construction sites is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team.
