We are looking for a Cook to join our Broadway Terrace Food Services team. Working alongside our Head Cook and Support Services team, you will help prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for our Residents while contributing to a positive dining experience.

About the Role
Reporting to the Support Services Manager and working under the direction of the Head Cook, the Cook supports daily kitchen operations by assisting with meal preparation, food service, and maintaining a safe and organized kitchen environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist with preparing and cooking meals, including soups, sauces, meats, vegetables, desserts, and baked goods.
- Follow recipes and assist with adapting meals based on product availability.
- Support the preparation of special diets and large quantity food production.
- Help ensure meals are prepared safely, on time, and meet quality standards.
- Portion and serve meals and beverages for Residents.
- Complete food temperature checks and follow food safety practices.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food items.
- Assist with inventory, kitchen organization, and receiving food supplies.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, dishes, equipment, and workspaces.
- Support meal service, kitchen cleanup, and special events or catering activities.
- Work collaboratively with the Food Services team to provide a welcoming dining experience for Residents.
What We're Looking For
- Professional Cooking Certificate and/or equivalent training and experience.
- Food Safe Certificate.
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience (6–12 months preferred).
- Experience working with large quantity food preparation is an asset.
- A dependable and positive team member who takes pride in their work.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work respectfully and compassionately with Residents, families, and coworkers.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and team-oriented environment.
