Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Worker to join our agricultural team. The successful candidate will assist with various farm operations, including planting, harvesting, maintenance, and equipment handling. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, supporting the growth and sustainability of our farm. The Farm Worker will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of daily farm activities, utilizing a range of tools and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and techniques
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and power tools safely and effectively
- Perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems, equipment, and farm infrastructure
- Use hand tools for pruning, repairing fences, or other manual tasks as needed
- Conduct heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or harvested produce in accordance with safety guidelines
- Support general farm upkeep including cleaning work areas and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Monitor crop health and report any issues related to pests or plant diseases
- Follow instructions for proper use of heavy equipment and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and farm maintenance preferred
- Experience operating farm machinery, power tools, and hand tools is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely
- Strong mechanical knowledge helpful for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Basic math skills for measuring inputs or calculating quantities
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform manual labor including heavy lifting
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently and work as part of a team
- Prior experience in farming or agricultural settings is a plus but not required; training will be provided as needed
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
