Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete Worker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in concrete-related tasks, including formwork, finishing, and reinforcement. This role involves working on various construction projects, from new builds to renovations, requiring a strong understanding of concrete processes and related trades. The position offers opportunities to develop technical skills in heavy equipment operation, blueprint reading, and masonry within a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set forms for pouring concrete, ensuring proper alignment and stability using carpentry and concrete forming techniques
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to mix, pour, spread, and finish concrete surfaces
- Install rebar and reinforcement materials according to schematics and blueprints for structural integrity
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, troweling, and sealing surfaces for quality and durability
- Assist with heavy lifting and placement of materials using appropriate equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Conduct restoration work including caulking, masonry repairs, and flooring installation as needed
- Operate heavy equipment safely for site preparation or material transport
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete work or related construction fields such as masonry or renovation
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction tools and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding for various tasks
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, welding, flooring installation, and concrete finishing techniques is preferred
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for long hours on site
- Prior experience with rebar installation, carpentry, masonry, or restoration projects is advantageous
