Our client, an organization supporting mining, forestry, and other heavy industries, is seeking a strong leader to join their team in Timmins.

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operations of the Timmins location. Duties include hiring new employees, training, mentoring, supervising, disciplining staff, building rapport with customers, creating and implementing strategies to improve productivity in efforts to achieve the company’s goal and expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Participate in field and shop work: Including:
o Install, splice and repair conveyor belts
o Line industrial bins, chutes, tanks etc with rubber.
o Install and service Conveyor related products ie. Skirting, scrapers, idlers/rolls, pulleys etc.
· Direct Timmins location staff
· Work with Sr Management for HR related responsibilities
· Coordinate all job scheduling
· Provide sales department with timeline/manpower/materials required to complete work to provide quotes to clients
· Request purchases to head office for approval
· Oversee location orders/sales
· Sign off on timesheets and workorders
· Submit any administrative paperwork to Head office
· Maintain company property (buildings, capital assets, rolling stock, equipment)
· Collaborate with Sales Teams, Sr Management and other locations
REQUIREMENTS
· Administrative skills (email, texting, phone, daily input of time sheets)
· Experienced rubber worker (splicing, rigging, repairs etc)
· General mechanical aptitude
· Valid Drivers License and clean abstract
· Excellent communication skills
· Team- oriented with strong leadership presence
· Detail oriented
· Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines
· Strong work ethic, self motivated, go-getter, interested in career development.
· Ability to work under various weather and work conditions (cold, heat, noise, indoor/outdoor etc.)
· Frequent overtime and weekend shifts, willing to work long hours and emergency hours.
· Must be physically fit as there is heavy lifting involved
· Strong problem-solving skills, organization and planning skills
· Must be comfortable working underground
OUR CLIENT OFFERS
Competitive wage with overtime terms at X1.5 after 8 hours, and 40 hours, and X2 after 12 hours, along with meal allowance for travel, full comprehensive benefits package, RRSP match, provided vehicle, phone, annual boot allowance, and more.
Hourly Wage*: $40.00-45.00hr
*The hourly rate range complies with pay transparency requirements. Total compensation and any flexibility surrounding compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and role alignment, and may include additional components.
