Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and experienced individuals to serve as Volunteer Board Members for our organization. This leadership role involves guiding strategic direction, supporting organizational growth, and ensuring the effective governance of our initiatives. As a Volunteer Board Member, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our organization while contributing your expertise to advance our mission and community impact.
Duties
- Participate actively in board meetings, committees, and organizational planning sessions.
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance to executive leadership on organizational goals and policies.
- Engage in business development efforts to foster partnerships, sponsorships, and community outreach.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead or support negotiation efforts related to partnerships, funding, or resource acquisition.
- Contribute to fundraising activities and advocate for the organization within your professional network.
- Support organizational governance by ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Mentor staff or volunteers as needed to promote leadership development within the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in negotiation, process improvement, leadership, business development, or project management.
- Strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
- Ability to dedicate time for meetings, strategic planning sessions, and organizational events.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Prior experience serving on a nonprofit or organizational board is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to leverage personal networks and resources to support organizational growth.
