Staff Plus is currently hiring an Quality Technician for one of our clients in Brampton, ON. We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual with a background in plastic extrusion or plastic manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team in a fast-paced production environment with the potential for long-term employment.

Available Shifts-
- Day Shift: Monday-Thursday 7am - 7pm
- Night Shift: Monday-Thursday 7pm - 7am
Guaranteed 4 hours of overtime for above shifts
Pay Rate-
- Weekday Day Shift: $23.82/ hour
- Weekday Night Shift: $24.82/hour
Job Description:
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Responsible for in-process inspection and test verification for Quality, Food Packaging Safety and other requirements
- Ensure all QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
- Responsible for documentation, sampling and quarantining of non-conforming material. Maintains other sample requirements as defined
- Must be comfortable working with quality testing equipment at the site
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics
- Two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred
- Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized
- Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams, and Outlook
- Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information
- Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients
- Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options

Experience:
- Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)
- Quality Technician: 2 years (preferred)
