Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Test and troubleshoot installed systems to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.
- Collaborate with estimators, project coordinators, or managers to review project specifications and ensure understanding of installation requirements and timelines.
- Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
- Conduct equipment start-ups as per company standards.
- Provide industry leading customer service while on site, ensuring to train operators and other applicable parties in the operation of the systems installed.
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
- Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment needed for installation projects as required
- Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- Represent the company in a professional manner including but limited to maintaining a clean and organized work area and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Journeyperson certification is required.
- Demonstrated experience working as an HVAC Journeyperson in the commercial HVAC industry.
- Proven hands-on experience installing commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, and/or water-source heat pumps.
- Valid Class B Gas Fitter certification is required.
- Class B-R Refrigeration Field Safety Representative (FSR) certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, installation practices, and applicable codes and regulations.
- Proven ability to install, start up, and test, HVAC and ventilation systems to a high standard.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, equipment manuals, and project documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a project team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, project managers, coworkers, and other trades.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with applicable Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

Experience:
- Commercial HVAC installation: 5 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- BC Class 5 Driver's License (required)
- Red Seal in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (required)
- Class B Gas Fitter (required)
- Class B-R: Refrigeration FSR Certification (preferred)
