We are actively recruiting for a travel caregiver for a private male employer with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2 to assist with all activities of daily living while on a trip to Vienna, Austria.
The ideal candidate will be caring, attentive and can take direction well.
Location:
- Vancouver, BC to Vienna, Austria
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- October 31 to November 5, 2026
Compensation:
- $300 per shift plus flights and accommodations
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Personal care such as showering, dressing assistance, toileting assistance, and repositioning
- Cradle carry transfer 130 to 150 pounds as there is not lifts available on the trip
- Tube feeding and bi-pap support (putting on the mask, turning on, ect)
- Eating assistance
- Joining employer on outings during the trip
- Overnight:
- shared hotel room and bathroom
- Interventions approximately 2 to 4 times per night
- Bi-pap and repositioning
Required Qualifications:
- Caregiving experience is an asset
- Caring and attentive
- Ability to take direction from the employer
- Able to lift and transfer between 130 and 150 pounds physically (Cradle Carry)
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (Minimum 2 doses)
- Must have a valid Canadian passport for travel
