Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, highlights, treatments, and special occasion styles
- Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs and delivering personalized recommendations
- Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness standards in all work areas and tools
- Upsell retail products to enhance client satisfaction and increase salon revenue
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and processing payments
- Communicate clearly with clients about their desired styles, aftercare instructions, and product recommendations
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques through ongoing education and training
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming and professional salon environment
Experience
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist in a salon setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients
- Knowledge of hair styling techniques, coloring, treatments, and sanitation protocols
- Ability to upsell retail products effectively while maintaining genuine client relationships
- Excellent communication skills to clearly understand client needs and explain services or product options
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus
- A valid cosmetology or hairstyling license required or as per local licensing regulations
