Location: SMSHBRGR & Salt & Sugar Dessert Bar – Markham, ON
We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Support Team Member to help keep our kitchen running smoothly during some of our busiest hours.
This is an ideal position for someone looking to gain experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment, students looking for part-time work, or anyone who enjoys staying busy and working as part of a team.
What You'll Be Doing
Your primary responsibility is supporting our kitchen team so they can focus on preparing food and serving guests.
Duties include:
- Washing dishes and maintaining dish area organization
- Taking out garbage and recycling
- Breaking down cardboard and maintaining storage areas
- Restocking ingredients, packaging, and supplies
- Sweeping and mopping as needed throughout the shift
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks
- Labeling, portioning, and organizing products
- Supporting opening and closing duties
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
What We're Looking For
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work quickly and stay organized
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable and punctual
- Team-oriented and willing to jump in where needed
Restaurant experience is an asset but not required. We're happy to train the right person.
Hours
- Part-time position
- Typical shifts are 4 hours in length
- Primarily evenings and weekends
- Additional hours may become available as the business continues to grow
