Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Floral Designer to join our fast growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral artistry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create stunning floral arrangements for various occasions. The Floral Designer will be responsible for designing beautiful floral displays, assisting customers, and maintaining the overall presentation of the store’s floral department.
Duties
- Create custom floral arrangements for events such as weddings, funerals, and special occasions, ensuring they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Assist customers with selecting flowers and designing arrangements that suit their needs and preferences.
- Maintain the freshness and appearance of all floral inventory through proper handling, storage, and rotation.
- Manage merchandising displays to attract customers and promote seasonal or promotional products.
- Handle sales transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash handling and processing payments.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering suggestions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Keep the floral department clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Utilize e-commerce platforms for online orders and coordinate with team members to fulfill delivery or pickup requests.
Experience
- Previous experience in floral design or related fields such as gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is required.
- Knowledge of POS systems, merchandising techniques, and retail sales processes is advantageous.
- a drivers licence is required , as at times delivery will be necessary in the company vehicle.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective customer interaction and teamwork.
- Familiarity with cashiering, cash handling, and customer service best practices is desirable.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms can be beneficial for managing online orders.
- Organizational skills are crucial for managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
