We are currently seeking an experienced and safety‑focused Regional Service Manager to join our Edmonton location.
Position Summary
The Regional Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all technical, operational, and training functions across multiple service branches. This role ensures consistent diagnostic quality, workflow standardization, technician development, safety compliance, and communication across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full equipment workflow, including triage, diagnostics, repair, parts processes, IRO management, and readiness for rent.
- Implement and enforce standardized procedures for repair, diagnostics, documentation, and parts handling across all branches.
- Act as lead troubleshooter for complex, long-standing, or multi-branch equipment issues.
- Conduct cross-branch safety inspections, ensuring 5S, PPE compliance, and shop condition standards. (5S to come mid 2026)
- Manage regional technician training programs with a minimum goal of 24+ vendor/OEM hours per technician annually.
- Ensure accuracy of diagnostic reports, repair documentation, and POR equipment status updates.
- Coordinate closely with Service Writers and Parts teams for timely and accurate parts procurement.
- Mentor and coach technicians during branch visits, identifying skill gaps and supporting development plans.
- Maintain OEM/vendor relationships to secure updated service information, technical bulletins, and training opportunities.
- Support regional initiatives, such as Texada implementation, operational improvements, and leadership planning.
Operational Expectations
- Ensure all branches follow corporate service structures and operational guidelines.
- Collect recurring issues from all shops and technicians, reporting trends and solutions to upper leadership.
- Verify all PDIs and repairs meet OEM and company standards prior to rental readiness.
- Audit work orders for accuracy, detail, and completeness across all locations.
Training & Development
- Develop annual training calendars per branch.
- Track progress toward the 24-hour minimum training requirement per technician.
- Facilitate vendor-led, online, and in-person technical sessions.
- Document all completed technician training for compliance and review.
Qualifications
- Strong background in equipment diagnostics, mechanical systems, and technical troubleshooting.
- Experience leading multi-location service operations preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor technicians of varying skill levels.
- Ability to travel frequently to regional branches.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage documentation, training records, and workflow controls.
