Key Responsibilities
- File Review & Quality Assurance: Review year-end working paper files, corporate financial statements, and tax returns utilizing Caseware, Jazz-it, and Profile.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Train, mentor, and review the work of junior and intermediate accounting staff, fostering a collaborative environment of continuous growth.
- Client Advisory: Meet directly with clients to answer questions, explain tax positions, and deliver actionable business insights.
- Tech & Cloud Support: Work fluidly within industry accounting software (QuickBooks, AgExpert, Sage 50, etc.) and provide support to clients.
- Relationship Building: Proactively develop and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with our diverse client base.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional Designation: Valid Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Public Practice Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience within a public practice firm.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex tax and accounting concepts clearly to clients.
